No songs about horror movies this year. Sorry! But as always, all my songs show us that Halloween truly is every day. Life is incredibly scary. I started tuning my guitar to open C to play a Tom Waits cover, and after getting sick of re-tuning I decided I needed to write some songs in open C. Then I wrote a whole album. A whole album about getting old, getting sick as your body fails, and accepting death. Whenever death shows up at my door, I will not be afraid, like I have been for such a long time. All I fear now is leaving those I love behind. So, in essence these are all love songs. Happy Anniversary, Snugs!
